Wesfarmers is in The Spotlight this week.
Departing CEO, Richard Goyder just announced a 13% profit and after 12 years at the top, will see out the year with a nine month handover to his successor Rob Scott. Rob will then become the company’s 8th internally promoted CEO in 103 years. That’s some impressive corporate culture.
At the end of the year, Richard will be off to indulge his first love, football, as the next AFL Commission chairman.
Before he turns off the lights on his way out, he stepped into The Spotlight to review his time with Wesfarmers, with a look to the future of the West Australian based conglomerate.
