Trump the negotiator, President le Pen?, Algorithms, Telstra and the NBN

February 4th, 2017 Weekly Overview

As may be the case more often this year, my Overview begins with a look at Trump’s tweets overnight. He’s now claiming that the Turnbull call kerfuffle is fake news!

It’s astonishing that one man can cause the world this much stress and confusion, but is there anything redeemable about a Trump presidency? I may have found a small glimmer.

And it’s a bit of je ne sais quoi happening in France with the upcoming election – will the French elect their very own Trump-esque character?

Closer to home, I’ve got an interesting angle on Telstra and the NBN and why Telstra shares might still be worth holding onto.

And what’s happening in the sharemarket? It’s like a game of football in a minefield these days.
